MULTI-STAKEHOLDERS APPROACH
KONTANDES is a collaboration between KLK, AKSENTA, Yayasan Belantara Mandala Nusantara and the Village Forest Management Institution (LPHD).
LAND COVER
99% of the village forest is still intact; 67% is primary karst forest, 21% is secondary karst forest while 11% is good quality secondary tropical rainforest.
HOME OF FLORA AND FAUNA
The KONTANDES project area is rich in biodiversity, with 280 species of flora and 462 species of fauna.

FOR LOCAL COMMUNITIES
Local communities are provided with opportunities to participate in activities and studies relevant to the project.
